Please read

At Kataaki-no-Sato, we kindly ask our guests to understand the following points in advance:

  1. The village is located near the airport, and you may hear noise several times a day, but it is not loud enough to prevent conversation.

  2. There is no television in the village.

  3. Since the village is located close to a forest, you may encounter spiders, ants, and other insects from time to time, though not frequently.

  4. The stone walls in the village are traditionally built using stone stacking techniques, and they are not reinforced with concrete. Please avoid touching or stepping on the stone walls, as they can be dangerous.

  5. We recommend sleeping with the locked screen doors, but sometimes, before dawn, you may hear the calls of the Okinawa woodcock or the red kingfisher. Sensitive guests may wake up due to the sounds.

  6. All rooms in the village are non-smoking. Guests who smoke are asked to use the ashtrays provided in the garden areas. Please refrain from smoking in common areas such as the plaza or corridors.
