The Ono Forest, located just near the village, is home to some of the best wildlife in Miyako Island, including a variety of birds. Be sure to see for yourself the source of the resonant songs you hear.
A highlight of the nature observation experience is finding wild herbs along the forest path and taking them back to use in your evening meal.
