Located in the heart of Okinawa, Miyako Island,
a group of wooden houses with red-tiled roofs, "Kataaki-no-Sato."
In the small village of nine buildings (all 9 units) that make up the accommodation experience facility, traditional Okinawan red-tiled roofs are placed atop houses made with Yamagata's renowned timber, Kaneyama cedar from the Tohoku region.
The wooden houses stay cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and are excellent at adjusting humidity. When you open the sliding doors, you will feel the oxygen-rich air created by the surrounding greenery.
